What is ProfMed Services?
A secure website and phone app for all outpatient services. Agencies send jobs to approved nurses and therapists, nurses record every visit on their phone, and agencies find trusted local partners.
Who is it for?
Outpatient care: home health and hospice agencies, assisted living homes, other outpatient care providers, nurses and therapists, and partner businesses such as medical transportation, pharmacies and doctors’ offices.
How does an agency use it?
The office creates a job and sends the offer to a nurse on its team. The nurse accepts and signs. Each visit has a check-in and check-out. The office and the nurse talk in a private chat.
How do you check the nurses?
ProfMed reviews every nurse’s profile and license before approval. If her license or profession changes, she is checked again.
Does ProfMed pay the nurses?
No. ProfMed is not involved in money between agencies and nurses. The agreed amount per visit is shown in the offer as a record. The agency pays the nurse directly.
What does it cost an agency?
Agencies pay a monthly plan. When an agency hires a nurse it found on ProfMed, there is a one-time finder fee. Background checks have a set fee. See our Prices page, or ask us.
Does ProfMed use AI?
Yes. ProfMed Services AI is built inside ProfMed. It helps nurses and therapists with any question, checks visit notes for mistakes before they are filed, and supports the office in daily work. It is protected like everything else in ProfMed.
How do you protect patient information?
Two-step sign-in, encryption of messages, files and visit notes, access by role (each person sees only what they need), and a record of every important action. More about safety.
Who can see a patient’s information?
Only that agency’s office and the nurse on that patient’s job. Partner businesses never see patient information.
Do patients or families need an account?
No. ProfMed is used by agencies, their nurses and partner businesses.
What does a medical transportation company get?
It can join as a partner and get a page in our Partners directory. ProfMed does not book or track rides.
Is there a phone app?
Yes, for nurses and therapists – the ProfMed app for Android and iPhone is coming soon. The office uses the website.
What do I need to use it?
Office: any computer with a modern web browser. Nurses: a smartphone.
Can it be set up for my agency?
Yes, in simple ways: you can add your own visit types and your own forms, and give each office person the right level.
Does it connect to hospital systems?
Not today. ProfMed works on its own, in any web browser.
